Tarangire Park is a migratory area for wild animals, located between the Great Rift lakes and the Maasai steppe. This 2600 km² park owes its name to the Tarangire river which crosses it on its northern part to flow into Lake Burungi.
Fed by natural sources, the park is the ideal home for many species of animals in search of green marshes. Elks, wildebeest, oryx and migratory birds meet there with the seasons. Discovering this must-see park allows the traveler to discover a wide range of the biodiversity of Tanzania.
