The Ngorongoro conservation area extends over vast meadows, bushes and highland forest. Four hundred species of birds inhabit this crater, more than 22 km in diameter, the largest caldera in the world. Among them are the flamingos which are found on the shore of Lake Makat. You can also admire hippos and buffaloes in the middle of a mud bath session.
